The Summer Event 2020 is a temporal Event released on June 26th, 2020 by Project Celeste for Age of Empires Online. It will be build up from the Summer Event 2019. It is expected to end by August 29th, 2020.

Summer Event of 2020
PF2K, lead developer in Project Celeste announced the return of the summer event in the July 4th, 2020 developer Update [1]
- Last year, we saw 6 new event-exclusive Gear items, alongside new Vanity Gear, Capital City Decorations, Consumables, Summer Points and more. You can read about last year's Summer Event HERE
- This year, all of those goodies are coming back, but we've got some new stuff added too!
Summer Event of 2020
- Kire has helped us with new Legendary and Minigame Quests. These new Quests will still be located in Rhakotis, like the previous Quests, but they will have a new and refreshing look to them, particularly with Babylonian and Nubian themes.
- Additionally, we're adding three new Gear pieces, for a total of 9 Summer Event Exclusive Gear pieces. Much like previous Events, the older Gear pieces will be obtainable by means other than before. More details about this will be released with the announcement post of the Event when it goes live.
- We currently don't have an ETA on the event's release date, but we're still working on it. As you know, the development team is made up solely of volunteers who work on the game in their free time, and not everyone is able to allocate as much free time as the others can, so sometimes projects like this take extra long to complete.

- Once you update your game, go to your Empire Store in your Capital City and find all the new quests for the event, as well all the good stuff we had from last year!
- You can find every detail regarding what's new in the event in the attached graphics! We hope that you all have lots of fun playing with friends during the event.
- New mini-game style Quests and a very difficult Legendary Quest, with awesome rewards.
- New PvP Quests with AWESOME rewards.
- Gear, Vanity Gear and Capital City decoration from last year: The Summer Vanity Set and The Temple of Apophis Capital City building, entirely new and exclusive to Celeste.
- A new Legendary Building:
Library of Horus - For the first time ever, you will be able to play previous years' Legendary Quests from the Summer Event after the event is over, once you build this building. - Big upgrades to Sparta and Crete Chests and Large Chests. (This will continue on after the Event is over, too.)
