Mark Antony
It would have been an honor to have fought for the early Roman Republic. These were truly honorable Romans, loyal to the Republic and willing to die for independence. Rome was in its infancy and not yet plagued with the infighting and conspiracies of my era – the era of Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus.

Though I am unable to fight these battles, I am proud to serve Rome here at this Roman Army Camp, providing guidance to those on the front lines.

Since the dawn of the Republic, our resilience and adaptability puts the Romans above all others civilizations. As you diversify your army, you would do well to employ the Romans' premier Siege weapons. The Greeks may have invented the Ballista, but the Romans have refined it into its more mobile cousin, the Scorpio. These are anti-Infantry weapons designed to support our legions. Our scouts report Etruscans advancing into the area. Take a cohort of Scorpios and protect the front line. These machines are modified for even longer range than normal. Our men will willingly die for Rome, but your job is to see that they return from the field carrying their shields and not on them. Let's do our best.
Mark Antony
A large army is a strong army. But a brave army is stronger. And a well positioned army is strongest of all. A good general never blames their troops, because it is the general that chooses where to fight. Let's do our best.

You have fought with distinction. Not only have we repelled the Etruscans, but we can now mount attacks from the locations you secured. \n \nI have sent word of your victory to Julius Caesar. He will no doubt be pleased, but certainly not surprised. Pompey, on the other hand, when hearing of anyone else's success would be both surprised and displeased.
