'Walkthrough:' (These helpful steps work for all of these farm building challenges. Try to build on your experience from each round and do better by improving on what you thought was poorly executed.)
1) Get all your workers on food ASAP and train as many of them as possible for a while. Have you scout circle the immediate area to find the best place to cut the majority of wood you need as well as find any cows. Maybe have him find any guarded chests too if you really want the contents, BUT make sure you concentrate on churning out workers and having them collect food at this point.
2) Get 1-2 workers on wood so you have the needed amount of wood to construct 1-2 store houses as well as the upgrade that increases the workers' berry bush gathering speed.
3) Build the store houses (1 by the food/gold area and 1 by a large wood area) and if you have it, upgrade their berry bush gathering rate with the appropriate upgrade (costs 80 wood). Transfer a large part of your food workers to wood gathering and 1-2 @ gold ( I like to upgrade the wood cutting ability once to help speed up the wood cutting).
4) Age Up if possible. Once you get enough gold to upgrade the worker's wood cutting abilities, immediately have the gold miners cut wood too. You shouldn't need too many, or any, workers collecting food by now. Total food needed is 200 for Age Up + food for around ~15-20 workers. No more should be needed, especially for the easier quests in the series (ie, this one).
5) Age up if you haven't done so yet. Age 2 is the highest you need to get (to be able to build farms).
6) Now start planting farms near your town centre OR close to one of your storehouses. Do this quickly by selecting a worker and pressing shift then click on an open area on the ground several times to plant several farms at the same time. Then assign workers to each farm. This is faster than selecting a worker, placing a farm, selecting a worker, placing a farm...... Once you have enough wood for all ten farms (enough in inventory or have planted them all and are just waiting to finish building them) get multiple workers on each farm to build the farms faster.
7) You Win!
8) Explore the map and kill any guardians and take their treasure chests.
NOTE: In the later challenges in this series, you will get attacked by wolves starting around midway through the quest (which, due to the shortening time of each challenge, comes earlier each time). It's not a huge deal, but for some of the last rounds in this series of challenge quests you may have to produce a few military units to hold them off. If you don't have the resources, remember, your workers are pretty strong. Use 3-5 of them to kill a wolf or two, then set them back to gather resources.
