Quest Giver Dialog[]
Since King Romulus himself founded Rome centuries ago, the Roman Senate has elected kings to lead our city. Several years ago, the arrogant Etruscan Tarquinius married our king's daughter, assassinated the king, and wrongly took the throne for himself. Thus began Tarquinius's reign of terror. He executed senators, conspired with our rivals, and elevated his children above the law.
While you were cutting your teeth on those barbarians, Rome's honorable citizens voted to expel the arrogant Tarquinius from Rome and to establish a republic. Never again shall a king rule the Romans. (Perhaps one day a Dictator for life or even an Emperor, but certainly never a King.)
Tarquinius has now joined with his Etruscan allies from neighboring Veii to march on Rome and retake his throne. Join our troops on the battlefield, repel the Etruscans, and establish the Roman Republic! ”
