Age

Age is the term used to describe the different periods of Age of Empires Online which are divided into four levels. Each age unlocks a different level of Technology and opens up different units and technologies to advance the civilization to higher levels once it is fully developed at the Town Center. Advancing through the ages is done differently depending on the player's Civilization. When an age is unlocked, another town center can be built and each town centers will become stronger significantly throughout the Golden Age, where four town centers can be built and are at their strongest form possible.
